1085 Edition

It is a timeless chair because it comes in a material – natural hide obtained by respecting all the properties that comprise its identity – and because the project underlying this chair has the strength to challenge time: the hide will inevitably move, its texture will change and its colour will alter but the chair will express this transition, preserving its functionality and performance over time. For this project, Bartoli Design happily drew upon the experience of Presot in the haute couture sector (the visible stitching is a clear reference to that world), and the boating sector, as seen in the tie-rod device that ensures the tension that would be lost naturally over the years, and in the softening of the hide, which remains robust.

Bcn

The BCN stools have been created thanks to ongoing research into new materials and technologies. The seat, visibly sinuous with an ergonomic feel, is made of PBT, a highly flexible and durable thermoplastic material, which is put to unusual use in the world of design. Various versions are available: high, low or medium, with a chrome- plated steel structure or in the same colour as the seat, with a height-adjustable structure with a gas- lift device, and a new version with lathe-turned beech wood legs.

Bikappa

The Bikappa aluminum chair teases the senses with its incredibly slim design. The slight construction and sleek lines lend an almost ethereal quality to this elegant chair but at the same time it is the product of high quality materials and complex manufacturing processes.

Boum

Young, innovative and versatile: the Boum chair not only expresses a furnishing concept but also a lifestyle. The structure, in polypropylene moulded using car design technology, embraces the body with its ergonomic padding upholstered in fabric in a choice of colours. Three versions are available: a stackable chair with anodized aluminium legs, a fixed chair, and an adjustable stool on a round swivel base in brushed stainless steel.

Colander

It has a light, unalterable painted aluminium frame with an
injection-moulded polypropylene seat and back and a perforated texture reminiscent of a colander (hence its name).

It comes in various colours, either in a uni-colour version or two-tone versions in aluminium and polypropylene. Colander can be used in a multitude of spaces and contexts, both indoors and outdoors.

Compas

Its seat and back are made of PA6, a particularly hardwearing and durable plastic, whereas the legs, integrated into the frame and featuring an inverted “V” shape that recalls a compass, are made of pressure die-cast aluminium with powder-coated lacquer in the same colour as the seat, or in a “Shiny” version in polished natural aluminium or “Black Nickel”.
The new version with a foamed polyurethane cushion, upholstered in Kvadrat® fabric and anchored with 4 screws, adds a touch of extra comfort.

Elephant

Rewarded by remarkable success with critics and the public, the Elephant chair comprises a stiff polyurethane structure, which is both light and comfortable, also available in an upholstered version with visible stitching that recalls the back of an elephant. The frame is available in a variety of options: with 4 legs or a slide frame, in chrome-plated metal rod, with satin finish or in the same colour lacquer; with legs in solid beech wood or European oak, adding warm and natural appeal; or with a swivel base in pressure die-cast aluminium. There is also a rocking chair version with a wood base.

Face

The Face is a modern chair that combines minimalistic design with time tested comfort and functionality. We got together with designer Luca Nichetto to come up with this stunning piece of furniture that looks great in a variety of settings. Used at home, they give your interiors a chic, urban look, whether you put them in the living room, bed room or in the dining area. But with its trendy shape and fluid design, they are also at home in public and community spaces like restaurants, bars, hotels, meeting rooms and waiting areas. They come with no arm rests, and the slight tilt to the back makes them look extra elegant.

Joko

Designed by Bartoli Design, thanks to its longstanding partnership with Kristalia, Joko is a poetic and essential design project, which has become a continuously evolving collection of chairs over the years. These include the initial chair, an example of formal minimalism, with its amicable and attractive appeal, a chair with all-embracing armrests and a slightly wider seat, and stools in two heights as an ongoing design project.

Lp

Made of fibre glass-reinforced injection-moulded polypropylene.

Mem

With its skilfully spontaneous elegance, just like all the creations by the French designer, Mem has two holes in the seat, which make these chairs stackable by inserting the rear legs. This characteristic makes Mem an ideal chair for public areas and contemporary homes. Available with a removable cushion in soft polyurethane in the same colours as the seat: for extra comfort.

Pikaia

The adaptable and comfortable Pikaia chair meets all the requirements of home and community interiors with its style and versatility. The back has been designed to support your back and adapt to your body shape. Its polyurethane structure is available in four colours whereas its metal frame comes in polished chrome or in the same colour as the structure. The Pikaia collection includes many different versions to meet all requirements: a chair version, a chair with armrests, a chair on a slide frame, which are all stackable, and a chair on castors with a gas-lift adjustment system, with or without armrests.

Plana

Kristalia has used injection-moulded polypropylene reinforced with glass to make the Plana chair. This technology is used to produce an aesthetically appealing chair, which is also resistant and versatile. It is available in various colours and offers a good quality- price ratio. The basic version, available in white, black, beige and fluo green, is ideal for all places such as homes, outdoors and the contract furnishing sector, since 10 items can be stacked together. A slightly padded version is even more refined and comfortable, with upholstery in natural or synthetic leather, or in the Scuba fabric.

Plate

Featuring an original and unmistakeable style, Plate is a chair collection that combines refined technical design with traditionally crafted finishes. The legs, in die-cast aluminium, add an
attractive feeling of lightness. Three different widths (46, 50 or 70 cm) meet all user requirements in the contract furnishing sector, while the version with armrests is particularly suitable for use in office areas.

Pulp

trong and stylish, Pulp, a cantilever chair designed by Christophe Pillet and produced by Kristalia polypropylene, offers a new design component to enliven not only the home but also any public space (perfect for hotels, hotels, restaurants, bars, shops or even offices). Produced with sleek lines this piece is available in a range of strong colours, making it perfect to highlight the contemporary styling of any space and, due to its unique form, produce a comfortable environment with a modern twist.

Rama

Stackable chair with a distinct and essential style, with a curved plywood structure or, alternatively, in injection-moulded reinforced polypropylene. The frame is available in many versions: with solid wood legs, demonstrating its high-quality craftsmanship, with four legs, or on a tubular metal slide frame with or without armrests. Both versions can be padded and upholstered in a choice of Kvadrat® fabrics in different colours to match the visible backrest.

Rest

A complete furniture collection developed together with two outdoor design specialists, Harry&Camila. It includes a stackable chair, a stackable lounge chair with or without armrests, a stackable chaise longue and a lounger on wheels. They have epoxy-lacquered aluminium frames for outdoors while upholstery is in polyester rope or interlaced straps in the same material, for a textile and technological effect.

Sharky

Sharky gets its name from the fins that effectively provide an original coupling element between the polyurethane structure and the base, which is available in beech, European oak or lacquer for the indoor version, or in epoxy lacquered aluminium with visible welding, which can also be used outdoors. The chair is also available in a padded upholstered version, in various high-quality Kvadrat® fabrics, allowing infinite colour combinations to be created for the visible rear of the polyurethane structure.

Slim

The Slim design is subtle elegance. Its leather upholstery, with superbly crafted details, is available in a variety of colours to match any colour scheme. Three types are available: a chair with or without armrests, a chair with a high back for those who require a high degree of comfort, or a matching stool to provide a complete furnishing arrangement.

Sushi Bench

This elegantly designed and deceptively simple Sushi Bench from the expert creators at Bartoli will make a beautiful addition to gardens and outdoor terraces. The aluminium alloy frame and seat slats of this outdoor bench provide admirable strength to the bench, ensuring the Sushi Bench is both comfortable and long lasting, while the materials also give the product a contemporary appearance. The use of a newly developed aluminium laminate to coat the slats provides extra resistance to staining and impact damage, and adds a smooth, glistening texture to the bench’s appearance.

BCN tables come with the same legs in lathe- turned beech as the BCN wood stool to support a round top in black or white laminate.
This simple and just as versatile idea arose from the Kristalia research and development department. It was immediately transformed into a complete collection of complementary furnishing items ready for the widest range of furnishing spaces: coffee tables, high tables and bistro-style tables. The table legs are powder-coated with a soft matt effect to create an attractive single-colour and single-material effect with the top.

This led to the creation of Boiacca, an award-winning product and a great success with critics and the public. It received a honourable mention at the Compasso d’Oro 2014 Awards. Meanwhile, Kristalia had already embarked on another challenge: to shift from the material quality of cement to the warm appeal of wood, with its Boiacca Wood version. In fact, the legs are made of solid European oak or black oak, with a steel core: a product with high-quality technology and craftsmanship.
