Dhurrie rugs are made exclusively of handwoven warp and weft, using techniques that date back centuries. Known as ‘flat weave’, this traditional weaving process results in attractive decorative and durable rugs with beautifully simplistic designs. Warli’s innovative introduction of additional threads to the traditionally low-pile wool  weft results in tasteful new patterns and depth. Similar to the method used for hand tufted carpets, the rugs are backed with natural latex and cotton canvas.
